GT in Germany

Hannah is part of a special Gifted and Talented group called Oddessey of the Mind. She had the chance to compete with a team of 8 in Gilenkierken Germany. They created a play and participated in a question and answer session. Over all her group took second. We rode there with her teacher, Mr. Larsen. He was a great tour guide and showed us how to get through five different countires in one day. On our way home we stopped in Brugge Beligum and enjoyed dinner, Beligum waffles and some super sweet chocolates.

Lion King in London

Hampton and I had the chance to go to on a great field trip with Lakenheath Middle School. The day started out at the British Museum. There we saw some great artifacts from around the world. Hampton and his buddies took me on the fast tour and couldn't wait to get to the gift shop. There they found some awesome knight figures for only 2 pounds. They were so proud of themselves for finding such a good deal. Next we went to "Lion King" Musical. Wow! It was awesome. The singers and costumes were amazing. I would reccomend it to anyone. I loved being with my buddy Hampton. He is such a sweet kid and made sure to stay with me even when his buddies were interested in something else.

Martin Luther King Day in Warwick

Aren't Federal Holidays great? It"s the best when everyone can take a day off and spend some time together. This holiday we spend at Warwick castle. We loved the day. It was filled with a pageant playground, stories of battles and sword fights, a chance to meet the falconer, tours, more stories and lots pictures. It was a wonderful adventure. We had a great time exploring this awesome castle....estate. It was fun to see how they lived in midevil times as well as more recent times. The kids loved listening to a sweet German tour guide that couldn't stop talking. She gave us some great insights to the home and let us take a picture with the queen. My favorite was the picture with Henry the IIIV (look how it turned out...it wasn't planned.)

A Quiet Christmas

This year we had a very quiet Christmas. We celebrated with our little family and a good friend named Christina. We had our the traditional breakfast complete with casserole and pancakes. The kids had a great time opening their presents and couldn't wait to play all their new games. We missed having family around. We love you guys.

Christmas Eve and The Nutcracker

For Christmas Eve Jarom and I decided to surprise the kids with a trip to London to see the Nutcracker. It was a beauitful day. We had a peaceful bus ride and enjoyed all the wonderful sights. The Ballet was great.

Thanksgiving in Stonehendge

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in Bath, Oxford and Stonehendge. There we saw a Roman Bath House , ruins from their acient civilization, went on a Jane Austen tour and explored a fun Christmas maket. In Oxford we went to the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and took part in a Winter Celebration. Even though the kids missed their Thanksgiving feast we had a great time exploring and seeing some great historical places.

Mozart Concert and National Gallery

Here we are in front of the National Art Gallery. We had the chance to see some beautiful famous paintings. We also enjoyed visiting the National Portrait Gallery and went to a children's concert in the catherdal St. Martin's in the Fields. The kids really enjoyed the music and had a chance to particpate in the program.
